Z-scale coupler on N-scale Equipment coupler height gauge

$20.00

This is a coupler height gauge for mounting Micro Trains Z-scale 903/905 couplers on N scale equipment.

Back in the late 90’s I started putting Z-scale couplers on my N-scale locos to get a more scale appearance.

The Micro Trains gage is for mounting 1023/1025 at a height of .275”,  that is too high for a Z-scale coupler to match up with a N-scale coupler so what we  arrived at was to lower it .020” to .255”

I have modified  MT gages to do this over the years but I recently was in need of another gage for my tool box at the museum. I was without a MT gage to modify so I decided to whip up a small batch from scratch.
